Elmwood Park , Illinois ( Chicago Suburb ) I invited a friend to lunch a few months back and he suggested this restaurant as it is close to his place of employment. It is one of the places where you pay first and then the food is brought to your table. I had the Orange Chicken with rice and egg roll. The dish was sooo good that I recently called up my friend and asked if he would be interested in having lunch again at the same Asian restaurant. Of course he said yes. So we returned and ordered our favorite dish. Mongolian Beef for my friend and the Orange Chicken & rice with egg roll for me. Once again the food was delicious. The restaurant is unique in that they offer Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai dishes on their menu. How often do you see that ??? Next time , and there will be a next time , I will have to branch out and maybe try the Japanese or Thai selections from the menu. Maybe even a Koren dish if they have pul Gogi or yakimondo. All in all I must say the restaurant is clean, the food excellent, and the service prompt. If in the area, do stop in, you will not be disappointed. As a foot note, the food is reasonably priced as well. Also, FREE parking in the lot.

One of few Chinese restaurants out of Chinatown that you can actually get Chinese broccoli and the thick rice noodles.

Pretty decent Chinese fast food. I know that they have other Asian dishes but Chinese is considered my comfort food. Was super hungry after long day and coming from the doctors office with orders for bed rest. I needed soup and I got soup. Found this place as I was driving past to get home. They're in a strip mall with other eateries. I got two large soups (Yat Cai Mein and Hot and Sour). Loved H&S but didn't really care for the Yat Cai cause the noodles just got huge. I would probably ask them to hold the noodles next time or just have the H&S cause that was perfect spice and thickness. Hate when it's too thick. I also had the beef with veg and was happy that the sauce wasn't too over bearing. I like little sauce (more on the dryer side) and found this was on target. Service is pretty quick. It was a walk in and take out. I was sitting on my couch in less than 30 so I was a happy as can be.

So let me tell you about my experience at Happy Wok.... Mom in law was having a sushi craving and we didn't want to drive far so we decided to try Happy Wok. She decided to stay in the car and I went in to order take out. I went inside and the lady at front was standing behind the counter waiting for me to order. They have little paper menus in front which you take and look at. Once I decided, I folded up the menu and put it back in it's bin, where she then proceeded to take it out and tell me "that's not how you fold it." Ok so I brushed that off, even though I work in the customer service industry and my customers don't always put things where they belong or the right way necessarily, i would never point that out, especially as rudely as she did. I ordered a crunchy shrimp roll, which was $13.99 for 8 pieces- that's about how much I pay for special rolls in wicker park, lake view and downtown higher end sushi places. The roll was mediocre at best. I saw a lobster salad on the menu and I couldn't resist. Lobster, mango and avocado, yummmmmmy. You'd think. My BIGGEST regret is not taking a picture of this salad for you to see this.....I couldn't believe my eyes when I got home.... The "salad" was barely 3oz of food. It felt like the equivalent of a Greek yogurt cup of food. For $12 this seemed ridiculous to me. I don't mind paying for good food but this was cold and had probably been in the fridge for days. They sprinkled a ton of tempura flakes on top to try and make it look like it was more... Yeah... no. I Won't be coming back here. I was really hoping it would be my go to place since its in the neighborhood. :(

I tried this place when it first opened and wasn't that impressed. I missed the old restaurant that was here a lot. This past week, I decided to give the place another try, so I came back for take-out lunch on Friday. While the egg foo yong special that I had was certainly good - and it held enough to feed two of us, AND I liked that it came with a choice of egg roll or two piece crab rangoon, their pricing is just too high for the area. It is over $10 for a lunch special that every other place in the area does for about $6 - and doesn't come with a beverage either. It would have to be really incredible for me to pass two other places and come here for the same food at that price. The sushi is also very high priced. I'd love to try it, but 3 rolls would be about $40 and that is nuts. Even the lunch combos of sushi are crazy expensive. Who is coming here regularly?

A few errands in this strip mall brought me in here last night for carry out. I love the bright, colorful, and inviting look of this restaurant. I have found that places that try to cover Japanese, Thai, and Chinese food all in one spot usually fail. The pad thai was a major failure here. The orange looking sauce all over the dish was unappealing. The chinese offerings were fine but lacking in flavor: orange chicken, beef with onion and broccoli, beef fried rice. They were decent enough to serve to our family of five people, and the dishes were mild enough for our young kids. We did ask specifically for the orange chicken not to be prepared spicy, and the staff was very nice about this. Piping hot and fast food. Reasonable pricing. Fine for feeding a family if you are in the area.

A bit unorthodox in that you must order before you sit down (if dining in) but I have to give this place a great review for two reasons. One is the sushi. I've had exceptional sushi and I've had poor sushi. The Godzilla roll I had was on point! Definitely the best I've had in recent memory. Two is the service & ambiance once you're seated. The tasty food comes out quick and the place is visually pleasing once your in. Clean, Chinatown style in Elmwood Park makes this a gem without having to travel to the Far East!

It's a little odd to see a restaurant that serves Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai all under one roof and the place not be a buffet. It was a little confusing coming in. I entered and didn't know what I should do. Do I get seated? Do I wait until someone notices me? Do I seat myself? Well, let me clear up the confusion. You walk into the restaurant and order/pay for your meal at the counter. After you pay, you will be seated if dining in or you may sit on the bench by the window for your take out order. We ordered the Party B sushi platter which consists of 6 different rolls. The sushi was better than I thought it would be. The spicy tuna roll and sweet potato roll were by far my favorites. Our order was To Go so all 6 rolls were squished into one platter. I felt the presentation could have been better, but I'm pretty certain it would have look more pleasant if we had dined in. We'll be back to try the other dishes or to satisfy our sushi cravings.

We recently place a large delivery order for a party and tried several Chinese entrees. The food was great. Finally some good Asian food in the area. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is due to unpleasant customer service from the rude lady taking the order. Hopefully they will work on getting to 5 stars!

I can see why this place is busy. Great food, good portion sizes, fast and nice customer service. The interior design of the place is welcoming plus. Definitely coming back!

This newly opened spot is in my neighborhood, so I wanted to give it a shot... Well, they put a lot into the decor and the massive menu display. I didn't know how to tackle the overwhelming options--Thai, Chinese, and Japanese (sushi). Seemed like they lacked focus--what are they really GOOD at? Service was not the friendliest--I felt a bit alone and had to grab my own chili, water and take-home containers, even though only one other table was occupied. Anyway, the 2 of us ordered Szechwan tofu and a Thai basil noodle dish. Both were fine, a bit too much oil used in the wok and some of the veggies were hard as rock, but my expectations were not high. Portions are gigantic, and I was happy my dishes were not sweet, which seems to be a common issue in these parts. I wanted my Szechwan tofu to be spicy--it was not. I felt bad for the sushi chef--he was yawning of boredom. I'm pretty sure he doesn't get many orders, which makes me nervous to order sushi there--just not enough turn-over. We'll see if that business picks up... I'll try again sometime and give something else a shot. But for now, I travel to Katy's dumpling house in oak park or westmont or make the trek to Chinatown.

My husband and I ordered take out from here on a Friday night. We wanted to try Happy Wok because we're trying to find our favorite Chinese place in the area. The strawberry smoothie with tapioca balls was really good and the vegetable egg rolls were the best I've had in a long time. My beef with pea pods had a very flavorful sauce and my husband really liked his triple delight. This is a newly opened place and I think they are still working some kinks out, especially with service, but since the food was great we will be back!

SO SO GOOD!! Clean, great service! Food is great, and we ordere from each menu. Korean, Chinese, Japanese. Thai coffee so yummy!! we had sushi, maki, just so so good! Bathrooms clean. I always mention these "clean" remarks because it is very important especially where food is being served. Presentation of food just lovely, taste of everything so delightful!! owners/staff super nice!

Skip it. Food is super bland. The Bourbon chicken was terrible. Mongolian beef was ok. The Pork fried rice had no flavor. Noo Shu Pork was average. We ordered for delivery which came pretty quick but we won't be ordering again. Maybe it's bc their menu is so big. They should think about making it smaller and concentrating on making the food taste good.

We got delivery, some Chinese and some Thai. Service was very fast, faster than expected. The delivery guy was very nice. Everything was packaged nicely and looked so amazing and everything we got was super delicious. Will be ordering again since they have a GIANT menu. Awesome to have a go to neighborhood Asian place that has super awesome food and fast delivery.

I had a broccoli and beef today. There were only two flavors in this dish. One was a soy sauce, another was a tap water. Pretty awful. Pieces of gelly meat and mushy broccoli in a bowl with cheap soy sauce. No other ingredients. No effort to make a dish. I don't know if they hire a cook. If they do, he should commit seppuku.
